Om dette albumet
Originally self-released at the beginning of 2009, New York's Cymbals Eat Guitars' debut album built a reputation through the internet with a "Best New Music" review on influential American website Pitchfork Media. Snapped up by Memphis Industries, 'Why There Are Mountains' sees the four piece, led by Joseph Ferocious, play a blistering mix of classic nineties sounding indie rock, recalling such bands as Built To Spill, Modest Mouse and Pavement. The single 'And The Hazy Sea' is also included. One bonustrack on digital version.
