On AXXESS & ACE, the song titles not only match up with the songs (don't take this for granted with Molina) but there are even hooks. Shocking! Molina's back-up group, which includes Joe Ferguson (Pinetop Seven) and Edith Frost, only heard the songs for the first time on the day of the recording. The simple and understated intuitive arrangements complement the sombre songs. AXXESS & ACE is a perfect soundtrack for the quiet and gray of an autumn morning or for long walks to nowhere in particular.
